The Hotel is located approximately 0.5 miles from Paignton railway and bus stations. It is a level walk. We can arrange in advance a taxi for you upon request and wheel-chair suitable vehicles are available if so required.

In the car park there is a designated disabled parking bay adjacent to the rear of the entrance in and a ramp at the front of the hotel. Spaces cannot be reserved, and they are based on a first come, first serve basis. The car park has a slight incline up to the front of the hotel.

The Reception desk is 980mm high. Assistance with luggage is always available, this can be collected from and delivered to your car if required. The entrance hall floor is on one level.

The Bar Lounge and TV lounge are all on one level. There is nightly entertainment in the Bar Lounge. The hotel does not have a hearing loop installed.

The Restaurant is accessed via 5 steps; however, a stair lift is installed. Ladies’ and Gentlemen’s’ toilets are both located on the ground floor close to reception, as is the Disabled WC.

There are two lifts serving all floors, however depending on the size of your wheelchair it may or may not fit into the lift. Some bedrooms are accessed up a couple of small steps (please let us know at the time of booking if you have any needs in this respect).

The Swimming Pool is accessed by 3 steps with handrails then a 4-step hand railed ladder allows access into the water.

The hotel does not have any bedrooms specifically designed for the use by guests with impaired mobility. Bedrooms vary in terms of shape and size; however, many will be suitable for guests with minor disabilities so do please feel free to call us and let our Reception team assist you. If you are completely wheelchair bound the hotel will not be suitable for your needs.

All information such as menus, bedroom information and tariffs can be printed in larger fonts if so required.

Service dogs are accepted at the hotel by prior arrangements.

There is an ‘Aid to Living’ shop in Paignton from where it is possible to hire a range of specialist equipment; this must be arranged directly with them and not through the hotel.

We have tried to be accurate and as comprehensive as possible in the preparation of this Access Statement. All staff are more than happy to assist where possible to ensure that you have a very enjoyable stay at the Queens Hotel.
